Adsorption-Enhanced Ceramic Membrane Filtration Using Fenton Oxidation for Advanced Treatment of Refinery Wastewater: Treatment Efficiency and Membrane-Fouling Control

نویسندگان

چکیده

With the development of refining industry, treatment refinery wastewater has become an urgent problem. In this study, a ceramic membrane (CM) was combined with Fenton-activated carbon (AC) adsorption to dispose wastewater. The effect process analyzed using excitation–emission matrix (EEM), ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies (FTIR). Compared direct filtration, could significantly improve removal organic pollution, where rate COD TOC be 70% turbidity above 97%. It found that effluent meet local standards. fouling for impact pretreatment on direction. results showed Fenton-AC absorption effectively alleviate fouling. optimal critical flux increased from 60 82 L/(m2·h) compared filtration. After running about 20 d, remained at 55 membrane-fouling resistance only 1.2 × 1012 m−1. Hermia model revealed cake filtration present in early stages process. These great use improving efficiency operation cycle

Development of Membrane Bioreactor to Membrane Electro-bioreactor for Advanced Treatment of Wastewater

Limited available water resources have rendered wastewater reuse an important issue to specialists in most developed countries, today. The current study works on membrane filtration for treatment of industrial wastewater. By comparing the two methods of membrane bioreactor (MBR) and hybrid membrane electro bioreactor (MEBR) processes, it finds that earlier fouling in the membrane occurs in the ...

Advanced treatment of textile wastewater for reuse using electrochemical oxidation and membrane filtration

The treatment of textile wastewater for reuse using an electrochemical oxidation step combined with a membrane filtration step is reported in this paper. The electrolytical process is a traditional one, which is easy to scale up and to apply in practice. This paper proposes a modification of the transfer-flow membrane (TFM) module with fibres welded in an arc-shape to enhance the mechanical pro...

Advanced treatment of dyeing wastewater towards reuse by the combined Fenton oxidation and membrane bioreactor process.

The performance of combined Fenton oxidation and membrane bioreactor (MBR) process for the advanced treatment of an effluent from an integrated dyeing wastewater treatment plant was evaluated. The experimental results revealed that under the optimum Fenton oxidation conditions (initial pH 5, H2O2 dosage 17 mmol/L, and Fe2+ 1.7 mmol/L) the average total organic carbon (TOC) and color removal rat...
